Was out on my bike today going all over and noticed this little place id never noticed before. Thought id have a pop in and it was absolutely brilliant! Great staff to have a chat with, extremely kind and knowledgeable, not to mention the great products and bikes on offer!

Big thank you to James for doing a quick repair and swapping my front disk. James has been working into the evenings this week due to staff illness, keeping up with servicing. Top man well done.

I'd managed to shear off the end of my bottom bracket, leaving just the bracket thread stub jammed in the frame (don't ask!). James and his colleague managed to remove the 'stub' and fit a new one in no time. Turned a nightmare job and potential frame killer into a quick and efficient fix. Fantastic job all round, super impressive, and really cheerful and helpful to boot.

Just had some new brake pads fitted at cycle works penistone, what fabulous service. James and his team really do go the extra mile, I can’t recommend them enough.

Great quality service at a very reasonable price. Took my bike here with brake issues after having to make repeated trips to another bike shop that failed to address and properly fix the problem. James acknowledged the urgency and managed to fit me in the same day. Not only did he quickly identify and fix the problem using quality parts, but he also gave the bike a once over to make sure it was good to go. Good bike shops are hard to find but highly recommend cycle works, will definitely be my ‘go-to’ from now on!

I recently part exchanged a mountain bike with James at Cycle works Yorkshire in Penistone. He was easy to deal with and spent a good amount of time with me to get the new bike set up right. The deal was good and my experience of his business has been great. I shall continue to use this shop. I recommend a visit as they are conveniently placed just off the Pennine Trail and next to a cafe. Please support your local businesses, especially the great ones like this.

Bought my daughters first bike here, James was really helpful and fitted stabilizers for her, adjusted everything to her height and let her ride around the shop to make sure all was ok. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely friend local bike store, especially friendly as a woman who knows about bikes - they have women on staff and never made me feel like I have less right to be there. The work they did was great and they dealt with a parts shortage supportively, including storing my bike with them for a while during the wait for the part. Recommended.

If you need a bike repairing, highly recommend Cycle Works Yorkshire Ltd - the new bike shop next to Julies cafe in Penistone. I dropped my bike off this morning at 10 with a back tyre puncture, and I suggested that it might want an MOT. The bike was back with me at 1, fully fixed. James had rung me to say that he had checked my bike and as it was in a pretty good condition, he recommended, as well as the puncture repair, a mini service of the brakes and gears, - which I accepted. Work was carried out to a very high standard and the cost was very reasonable indeed.
