Be very wary! The host at first seemed very amiable, even offering for us to visit the property in advance to ensure it was suitable. We booked a whole year in advance to celebrate the first Christmas of our first child (and first grandchild!) all together with both families. However, less than a fortnight before our stay, the host suddenly suggested that we "vary" our booking with Airbnb and pay an additional supplement in cash to save us (and no doubt him) some money. I was quite hesitant as it appeared to be a scam. Then, before I knew it, the entire booking had been cancelled. The reason stated was a dispute with Airbnb, but we were offered to book directly and, of course, pay directly. This has been reported to Airbnb. Thankfully, we have been able to secure another property at this late notice! Else Christmas would well and truly be ruined.

We booked this as a Weekend away with friends.
Weird signs all over the house, with bizarre instructions. For example you're asked not to flush the toilet but rather leave the house to smell of urine in order to save a few pence on the owners water bill.
Some signs ask you not to use certain pieces of furniture, meaning some had to sit on the floor.
Many of the signs are very passive aggressive and criticise past guests for simply wearing shoes, or opening windows. Felt very unwelcome and like we had to walk on eggshells.
Would not book again.

Great place, spacious and overall nice place to enjoy, could not understand why there was an instruction taped to every single item in the house, was quite comical after seeing the 10th one!

Overall a brilliant stay filming at Parsonage House.
Rooms: 5 very large bedrooms all spacious and comfy. The beds were quite comfy and the bedding was thick and warm.
